Critical Literacy - Putting it into practice. (17's to 18's)

Today at English we were shown a video that penetrates woman and men in 17's and how it change through time.

(Number One)
The stereotype for woman in this video was, they're mostly do the work inside and dressed nice. While, men are doing the yard work outside.  The Video was called, Somewhere that's green. The girl's voice is mostly quiet.

(Number two)
The video is called, Legally blonde the musical// so much better. The girl is shown that she is being used and in the video the girl is getting courage by seeing her name on a list that will change her life. eventually she decided she was better off without men in her life. Men is shown that they're only having gf to show off to his friends and to cuddle. The girl's voice is loud and clear, shouting her ambitions.

Questions:
1. How are adults constructed in this text?
- In the first text, the woman is mostly abolitionists
- In the second text, the woman is portrayed second.
2. What kind of social reality does this text portray?
- In the first text, the life was hard and they try to have a dream. They have different jobs.
- In the second text, woman can change they life through education. They can have the same jobs.
3. How does this text construct a version of reality?
- Both of the text, it uses what was mostly in that time period.
4. What different interpretations of the text are possible?
- You can have many point of view, in the first text, is showing that she has a good family. In the second text, the text is shown that they're more to life than having a good family and a house.

Conclude - What conclusions have we drawn about this text by answering these questions?
 - In the past, there are many stereotypes about men and women and after 30 years some stereotypes remains the same and others change.

1. Synopsis: For this video, at the start they were calling each other mates. There are 4 guys who is going for a drink and 1 guy was supposed to be not drinking alcohol however, he began to drink secretly. In the end he was drank and when he was driving he crashed into the three. The other guys were not longer calling him mate.

2. Synopsis: For this video, at the start he was thinking whether what was his best options in the scenario. Whether he's going to tell his mate not to drive but it will be stupid in front of Monic and his other option was being a legend by saving his mate from crashing.

Question:
1. Is this text fair?
- No, because they have only targeted a specific kind of nationality, gender, and pronunciation.
2. How are teenagers or young adults constructed in this text?
- It constructs teenagers that they're irresponsible around drinking.
3. How does the text present age, gender, or cultural groups.
- Young adults was represented very loud and destructive.
- The young girls are represented to be the males sexual things.
4. Why is the text written this way?
- 2nd video To make the audience to make educated solutions.
