Today for English I've finished 1 chapter of the book and answered the questions below.
- What are the advantages and disadvantages of first person narration?
- Disadvantage - The challenge of whether each person is allowed to go for the trip.
- Advantage - She has a reputation for taking herself well in the wild and responsibilities. She had many friends.
- What kind of story do you think Ellie is going to tell? Uses evidence from the text to support your answers.
- I think the spark of the book is going to the other side of Tailor’s stitch which is “Hell”. Ellie and her friend mentioned about there are a lot of excitings and horrific findings. There are also going to be camping at the end of Tailor’s stitch.
- What set of skills do these characters have that convince their parents that they can ‘go bush’ independently. Find examples for three characters e.g Ellie tells Robyns parents they have ‘independence and initiative’ p.11
- Homer, a wild young boy who likes to go hunting. Ellie, a girl with a lot of knowledge for the wilderness. Robyn, a short and intelligent girl who always at the top of her class always competitive and very sporty.
